Music Minister; Associate Minister, St. Marks AME Church,

Dallas, Texas

Reverend Reiko Brown was born and raised in the Metro Tokyo area in Japan where she started her music ministry as a choir director, voice instructor, vocalist, and music minister. After several years of serving as a music minister, Reiko moved to Atlanta, GA to attend the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC), the historic Christian Afrocentric ecumenical theological school in Atlanta, GA. She served as a postgraduate campus ministry intern at Spelman College Sisters Chapel/ WISDOM Center in Atlanta, GA.


Reiko received her B.A. degree from Ferris University (Yokohama, Japan) and M.Div. and M.A. in Church Music degrees from ITC. Currently, she is pursuing a Doctor of Ministry at Candler School of Theology at Emory University.


Reiko is a Board Certified Chaplain of APC (Association for Professional Chaplains). She has completed 9.5 units of CPE and worked for several hospitals in NJ, NY, VA, Japan, and north TX. Currently, she works as a staff chaplain at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Plano, Texas.


Reiko is an ordained Elder of African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church and associate minister of St. Mark AME Zion church (Dallas, TX).


Reiko is married to Mr. George Brown and has 4 furry children, Hannah (cat), Momo (cat), Maxine (cat), and Lacy (dog.)
