Reverend Phyllis Byrd has been in service in Kenya for 30 years. Her first assignment in Africa was based in Kenya working with Archbishop Desmond Tutu at the All Africa Conference of Churches (AACC), where His Grace, served as the President.

      She was sent out for mission work by the PC(USA) and the UCC. She worked at the AACC in Ecumenical Relations and Peace and Reconnection. She is currently serving with the Organization of African Instituted Churches as the director of the Just Communities Program.
